Ink Boutique Knitwear. The second version of the knitwear site.
Gazelle Furniture. Furniture Makers in Edinburgh. Still make sites for them. I think 5 now?
The Home Cinema Centre. First version of this site was a large static html ecommerce site. Bit of a nightmare to add new products to but worked well in search engines. Later remade using Expression Engine 9as the only system at that time i trusted to make a decent SEO’d site – mainly as with Expression Engine you write your own page code. Really good system, once built.
H2O Car & Vehicle & Fleet Valeting.
Greensills were, i think, a flower shop. Pretty site i always thought. Good Photos really help.
Edinburgh Holiday Apartment – Holiday Apartment in Edinburgh! Still live though no longer in my care
Swim Edinburgh web site was built for the City of Edinburgh Swimming Club with various database archives of performances and competitions.
FESI – the UK Forum for Engineering Structural Integrity. Redesigned to be a bit prettier. Still static html site – next stop: CMS.
Aspire Contracts – Builders
24kt Gold Finish – as the name suggests he can gold plate anything. First in a line of Joomla sites – before i moved to WordPress.
Easibay was an auction site like Ebay but for Northern Ireland – where in theory there was not much of an uptake of ebay. We still work together or other sites.
I can’t remember what we used – i was starting to use Joomla about thi stime but not sure if the auction system was Joomla based or not – perhaps.
This was a dating site that just never quite took off. I think we based it on Joomla. Wouldn’t do that now!
Built and looked after this site for many years until it became part of a website of larger group of hotels.
Bookcases Direct – i still make websites for this business.
In-taxi advertising technology
Traindup – personnel web site
I’ve rebuilt this site a few times over the years. Freight / Transport company in Dalkeith.
FESI – Forum for Engineering Structural Integrity
A site i have remade a few times. This was the first version.
Photography ecommerce site selling posters and prints.
A website for the local area of Motherwell. First full CMS site though using a bespoke system we bought.
Glenthorne Holiday Home – A static site but with a little database for a dates / availability system. Using SimpleCMS
So, then we built a third site (3 bites of the cherry). And again it brought in more enquiries and orders. In fact we were starting to get too many enquiries to handle.
Irving Cabinetmakers. Over the years i have remade this web site a few times. They change their names quite often but always stay making bespoke furniture and rooms all over Edinburgh & Scotland
Kesara Therapies – the first of many beauty emporium web sites.
E4PavementsSigns – then we split up the content of Edmonds in to different sections – this one wa for – you’ve guessed it – pavement signs.
Lenticular Graphics suddenly became all the rage, so we buyilt a site for that as well as part of the Edmonds online empire.
Gretna Green Weddings – now there is a Search Engine bun fight! Who gets to the top of the search engine for Gretna Green Weddings wins. And for a period it was this site.
I can’t actually remember which domain name it was now.
Then we had to build a Gretna Green Weddings site for another place in Gretna!
Barns Ness Hotel in Dunbar.
Devlin Jones Bathrooms.
Caddon Personnel. Nursing Personnel if i remember rightly.
They made huge machines that made stuff like gravel, a bit like machines from Thunderbirds. Huge.
We did a look of work with British Trust Hotels back then and built a few sites for them, including Sundays’ favourites Easybreaks.
Following on from the Edmonds website we built this site. ‘Two bites of the cherry’ the boss would say. And it worked well. It was also the first time that we realised how upset the competition were when they copied the entire site and rebranded it for their own use!
Ink Boutique, designer knitwear and armwarmers. Used Mals Ecommerce and Paypal. Successful little shop, still going.
This was my first really successful site. We beat the opposition printers, and The Drum pointed out that we had the biggest web presence of all the Advertising Agencies in Scotland – with a staff of about 5. I had this page about Advertising Agencies that mentioned lots of Scottish agency names (who http://www.mindanews.com/buy-imitrex/ were they? Blue?? i can’t remember) anyway, when you did a search for their names this page came top. They all had Flash sites! – chumps. Anyway, we rebuilt the site a few times over the next couple of years then sadly it got forgotten in about 2009. Its still going but…
